AMES, Iowa (Ticker) -- Tracy Gahan made the go-ahead layup with 28 seconds left and Angie Welle had a huge game as seventh-ranked Iowa State pulled out a 68-67 Big 12 Conference victory over Missouri. Gahan's basket gave Iowa State a 66-65 lead. Welle and Gahan each made a free throw, enabling the Cyclones (14-1, 5-0 Big 12) to withstand a follow shot by Evan Unrau just before time expired. Welle scored 18 points, grabbed 20 rebounds and blocked four shots for Iowa State, which extended its home winning streak to 13 games and continued the best start in school history. Lindsey Wilson led the Cyclones with 21 points, adding seven assists and three rebounds. Gahan finished with 15 points and eight rebounds and Megan Taylor scored 12 points on 3-of-17 shooting. Amanda Lassiter had 21 points, seven rebounds, five steals, four assists and four blocks for Missouri (11-5, 2-3), which has lost the last seven games in the series and six straight at Iowa State.
