STORRS, Connecticut (Ticker) -- Svetlana Abrosimova scored 19 points and grabbed 13 rebounds as top-ranked Connecticut bounced back from its first loss of the season with a resounding 80-51 victory over Old Dominion.
Connecticut (14-1), which fell at No. 3 Notre Dame on Monday, 92-76, improved to 3-1 all-time against Old Dominion. The Huskies used 51 percent (30-of-59) shooting to improve to 7-0 at home.
Tamika Williams added 16 points off the bench while Diana Taurisi contributed 10 as the Huskies opened up a 38-17 halftime advantage and never looked back. Connecticut played the third game of a stretch in which it plays four games in eight days.
Hamchetou Maiga scored 14 points and pulled down 11 rebounds to lead Old Dominion (8-5). Kim Giddens and Mariant Koukouvinou each added 12 for the Lady Monarchs, who saw their five-game winning streak snapped.
Old Dominion made just 1-of-16 3-point attempts and shot 34 percent (20-of-59) overall.
