DURHAM, North Carolina (Ticker) -- Rochelle Parent scored 13 points and grabbed eight rebounds as fifth-ranked Duke withstood a late rally en route to a 62-59 victory over No. 19 North Carolina State in an Atlantic Coast Conference battle.

The Wolfpack had several chances to tie or take the lead in the final minutes but were unable to convert.

Georgia Schweitzer scored 11 points, including a key basket late in the game, as Duke (17-1, 5-1 ACC) defeated its instate rival for the eighth time in the last 10 meetings.

Sheana Mosch added 10 points for the Blue Devils, who won their seventh straight overall.

Iciss Tillis grabbed nine rebounds while Parent and Schweitzer had eight apiece. The Blue Devils shot 48 percent (27-of-59), despite missing on 9-of-10 3-point attempts.

North Carolina State (11-6, 2-5) lost for the fifth time in seven games and is in danger of falling from the top 25. Tynesha Lewis scored 17 points on 6-of-19 shooting.

Carisse Moody scored 15 points for the Wolfpack, who shot 35 percent (23-of-66). Amy Simpson chipped in 11 points off the bench but missed two 3-point attempts in the final 12 seconds.

Duke improved to 5-0 against ranked competition.
