WEST LAFAYETTE, Indiana (Ticker) -- Katie Douglas scored 15 points as sixth-ranked Purdue smothered Michigan State, 57-34, in a Big Ten Conference contest for its eighth straight win.

Camille Cooper scored 11 points and Shalicia Hurns added 10 for the Lady Boilermakers, who overcame some offensive doldrums of their own and remained unbeaten in the conference.

Purdue (16-3, 6-0 Big Ten) limited Michigan State to just 30 percent (15-of-50) from the field. The Spartans had three more turnovers than baskets.

The Lady Boilermakers led 22-15 at halftime as the Spartans made just six baskets. They widened the lead in the second half and shot 41 percent (11-of-27) overall.

Julie Pagel scored 10 points for Michigan State (8-9, 2-4), which could not hit from anywhere. The Spartans were just 1-of-9 from 3-point range and 3-of-10 from the line.
