CHAMPAIGN, Illinois (Ticker) -- Kelly Komara scored 17 points and sank 4-of-8 from 3-point range as sixth-ranked Purdue remained undefeated in the Big Ten Conference with a 72-64 victory over Illinois.
Purdue nailed five 3-pointers and shot 59 percent (16-of-27) in the second half to snap the Fighting Illini's winning streak at four games.
Camille Cooper had 13 points and 10 rebounds and Katie Douglas added 15 and seven assists for the Boilermakers, who won their ninth straight game.
Illinois struggled in the first half, shooting just 35 percent (11-of-31) and falling behind, 37-32. The Illini shot 46 percent (13-of-28) in the second half but could not contain Purdue's offense.
The Boilermakers (15-3, 6-0 Big Ten) committed 26 turnovers but overcame them with a 47-34 rebounding edge.
Iveta Marcauskaite came off the bench to lead Illinois (9-8, 4-1) with 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting and nine rebounds. Allison Curtin scored 15 points but shot just 5-of-16 from the field and and Dawn Vena added 11.
