RALEIGH, North Carolina (Ticker) -- Tracy Gahan scored 21 points and Angie Welle added 17 and 12 rebounds as No. 7 Iowa State used a late run to pull away from 19th-ranked North Carolina State en route to a 71-64 victory.

After squandering an 11-point first-half advantage, the Cyclones (15-1) took the lead for good when Megan Taylor buried a 3-pointer to snap a 55-55 tie with 6:34 to play.

Gahan, who was 9-of-13 from the floor, followed with a layup and Taylor made two free throws as Iowa State claimed its sixth straight win since absorbing its lone loss of the season, an 81-63 setback at Duke on December 30.

Lindsey Wilson had 16 points and 11 assists and Taylor finished with 14 points and seven boards for the Cyclones, who shot 57 percent (27-of-47) and held a 34-27 rebounding advantage.

Carisse Moody scored 13 points and Tynesha Lewis added 10 for the Wolf Pack (11-7), who shot 37 percent (23-of-62) and forced 18 turnovers while committing just nine.

North Carolina State has lost six of eight since a sparkling 9-1 start.
