WINSTON-SALEM, North Carolina (Ticker) -- Sheana Mosch scored 22 points as fourth-ranked Duke extended the best start in school history and won its 12th straight game with a 66-58 victory over Wake Forest in an Atlantic Coast Conference matchup.
Mosch connected on 8-of-12 shots as Duke (21-1, 9-1 ACC) won its ninth straight conference game since a 93-75 defeat at Clemson on December 9. The Blue Devils avenged that with a 92-42 romp over the Tigers on Sunday.
Iciss Tillis had 16 points and 11 rebounds and Georgia Schweitzer added 16 and seven for the Blue Devils, who shot 43 percent (27-of-63).
Eafton Hill had 13 points and six boards and Olivia Dardy added 11 and eight off the bench for Wake Forest (11-10, 3-7). The Demon Deacons shot just 35 percent (23-of-66) and lost for the fifth time in eight games.
Duke made 16-of-38 shots in the first half and took a 36-33 lead into the locker room. The Blue Devils never trailed in the second half, but the Demon Deacons stayed in the game and cut the margin to 44-42 when Dardy hit a jumper. The Blue Devils answered with an 8-0 burst to grab a 52-42 lead on Mosch's basket off a fast break with 11:23 left.
The Blue Devils have won 17 straight games against the Demon Deacons and hold a 34-16 lead in the all-time series.
