AMES, Iowa (Ticker) -- Megan Taylor and Angie Welle each scored 20 points as seventh-ranked Iowa State recorded its fourth straight 20-win season with an 81-52 Big 12 Conference whipping of slumping Kansas State.
Taylor made 8-of-16 shots, pulled down 10 rebounds and handed out four assists while Welle added nine boards for Iowa State (20-2, 10-1), which has won five straight and extended its home winning streak to 16 games.
Lindsey Wilson chipped in 18 points and freshman Erica Junod added a career-best 12 rebounds for the Cyclones, who raced to a 48-21 halftime lead behind 60 percent (18-of-30) shooting.
They cooled off slightly in the second half but finished at 57 percent (32-of-56).
Nicole Ohlde led all scorers with 28 points but was the only player in double figures for Kansas State (11-11, 1-10), which has lost six straight. Ohlde also had 10 rebounds.
The Wildcats have lost six straight road games in the series and have not won in Ames since January 8, 1995.
