BOULDER, Colorado (Ticker) -- Jenny Roulier scored 20 points and Mandy Nightingale added 17 as 21st-ranked Colorado knocked No. 6 Iowa State out of first place in the Big 12 Conference with a 73-66 victory.
Roulier made 6-of-11 shots, including 4-of-6 from 3-point range, as Colorado (18-5, 9-3 Big 12) posted its third straight win and avenged a 95-61 loss at Iowa State on January 27.
Britt Hartshorn added 15 points and Sabrina Scott grabbed 12 rebounds for the Buffaloes, who overcame 35 percent (22-of-63) shooting from the field.
The loss dropped Iowa State (20-3, 10-2) one game behind Oklahoma in the Big 12. The Cyclones had won five straight and 11 of their previous 12 games.
Lindsey Wilson and Angie Welle scored 17 points apiece for Iowa State. Welle also grabbed 11 rebounds while Tracy Gahan contributed 12 points.
Trailing 63-48 with 8 1/2 minutes remaining, the Cyclones closed to 67-64 on a 3-pointer by Megan Taylor with 1:06 to play. But Colorado held on by scoring its final six points from the line.
