AMES, Iowa (Ticker) -- Angie Welle and Megan Taylor scored 19 points apiece to pace five players in double figures as No. 9 Iowa State crushed No. 21 Texas, 87-47, in a Big 12 Conference matchup.
The Cyclones (21-4, 11-3 Big 12) snapped a two-game losing skid and has games with Texas A&M and Texas Tech remaining to close out the regular season.
Erica Haugen netted 13 points, Tracy Gahan 12 with eight rebounds and Erica Junod had 11 and seven for Iowa State, which forced 21 turnovers, made 11 3-pointers and shot 46 percent (27-of-59).
The Cyclones, who improved to 14-0 at home, held Texas to just nine field goals and 18 points over the final 20 minutes. The Lady Longhorns connected on only 34 percent (21-of-61) of their field-goal attempts and were just 2-of-6 at the foul line.
Stacy Stephens collected 12 points and six rebounds to lead Texas, which had a three-game road winning streak halted.
This was the only regular-season meeting between the schools.
