AUBURN, Alabama (Ticker) -- Top-ranked Tennessee finished unbeaten in Southeastern Conference play for the second time in three years, defeating Auburn, 63-49, in its regular-season finale.

The Lady Vols (28-1, 14-0 SEC) will take a 17-game winning streak into the conference tournament. Tennessee's only loss was an 81-76 defeat at then top-ranked Connecticut on December 30.

Tennessee struggled from the field, shooting just 35 percent (23-of-66). Semeka Randall was the only player in double figures for the Lady Vols with 13 points.

But Auburn (17-11, 5-9) was even worse, shooting just 25 percent (16-of-64). Despite matching its second-lowest total of the season, Tennessee was not seriously threatened, opening a 35-18 halftime lead.

Tasha Hamilton scored 16 points and Shana Askew added 10 for the Tigers, who trailed by as many as 29 early in the second half. The Lady Vols scored the first nine points of the period to build a 47-18 cushion Gwen Jackson's jumper with 15:15 to play.

Auburn scored only eight points in the first 13 minutes, falling behind, 24-8, on Randall's jumper with 6:55 left in the half.
