DURHAM, North Carolina (Ticker) -- Lonniya Bragg had 16 points and 14 rebounds as Arkansas pulled away for a 68-59 victory over Baylor in a West Region first-round matchup.

Amy Wright and Wendi Willits each had 13 points and Dana Cherry 10 for the ninth-seeded Lady Razorbacks (20-12), who are back in the women's NCAA Tournament for the first time since advancing to the Final Four in 1998.

Arkansas will face top-seeded Duke in the second round on Monday.

Baylor (21-9), an eighth seed appearing in the Tournament for the first time, stayed close until the second half, when Arkansas went on a 22-8 run to take a 58-47 lead with 8:24 remaining. Baylor was no closer than six the rest of the way.

Shameka Christon started the run with a 3-pointer and Arkansas went ahead to stay at 41-39 on a fast-break layup by Wright. Bragg had five straight points for Arkansas during the run, which ended with a 3-point play by Wright.

Danielle Crockman had 19 points and 11 rebounds and Sheila Lambert, the Big 12 Newcomer of the Year, had 16 and nine for the Lady Bears.

The first half featured 12 lead changes.
