NASHVILLE, Tennessee (Ticker) -- Mandy Nightingale paced five players in double figures with 18 points as Colorado posted a 98-78 victory over Siena in an NCAA Tournament Midwest Region first-round contest.

Nightingale was just 4-of-7 from the field but converted 9-of-10 foul shots in 26 minutes.

Eisha Bohman and Tera Bjorklun added 17 points apiece for the Buffaloes (22-8), whose No. 6 seed is their lowest since 1992.

Caroline Koechlin scored 13 points and Jenny Roulier added 10, leaving her eight shy of 1,000 for her career with Colorado. The Buffaloes shot 63 percent (38-of-60) from the field.

Colorado will take on host Vanderbilt in the second round on Monday. The Commodores advanced with an 83-57 victory over Idaho State.

Sacha Baker and Liene Jonsone scored 16 points apiece for Siena (24-6), which was making its first NCAA Tournament appearance. The Saints, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference champion, entered the tournament on a 12-game winning streak.
