RUSTON, Louisiana (Ticker) -- Louisiana Tech stretched its winning streak to 17 games, routing Georgia State, 84-48, in an NCAA Tournament West Region first-round game.

Takeisha Lewis and Kenya Bibbs scored 17 points apiece for the Lady Techsters (29-4), who moved within one victory of their 17th 30-win season. Lewis also grabbed 12 rebounds.

Brooke Lassiter added 13 points for Louisiana Tech, which had five players in double figures. The Lady Techsters will take on Texas Christian, a 77-75 winner over Penn State, in Monday's second round.

Louisiana Tech forced 30 turnovers and held Georgia State (24-7) to 34 percent (16-of-47) shooting from the field.

Leslie McElrath scored 17 points but committed 11 turnovers for the Lady Panthers, who were making their first NCAA Tournament appearance after winning the Trans America Athletic Conference title.

The Lady Techsters' last loss was a 71-55 setback to top-ranked Connecticut on January 7.
