AMES, Iowa (Ticker) -- Angie Welle collected 26 points and 13 rebounds as host Iowa State posted a 85-70 victory over Florida State in a NCAA Tournament Midwest Region second-round game.

Welle made 11-of-19 shots, helping the Cyclones (27-5) to their 20th consecutive home win. A second seed, Iowa State will take on Colorado or Vanderbilt in the regional semifinals on Saturday in Denver.

One of seven Big 12 Conference schools in the tournament, the Cyclones earned the highest seed in school history and have won at least 25 games in four straight seasons.

Megan Taylor added 22 points for Iowa State, which held off Florida State (19-12) by making 12-of-27 3-pointers. Tracy Gahan contributed 14 points and Lindsey Wilson added 13 for the Cyclones.

Iowa State dominated inside, outscoring Florida State in the paint, 30-18.

Katelyn Vujas scored 15 points and Shinikki Whiting added 11 off the bench for the Lady Seminoles, who secured their first NCAA Tournament berth since 1991. Florida advanced with a 72-70 first-round victory over Tulane.
