PITTSBURGH (Ticker) -- Takeisha Lewis scored 27 points and grabbed 17 rebounds as third-seeded Louisiana Tech posted its 19th straight victory and ended the surprising run of 10th-seeded Missouri, 78-67, in the East Region semifinals.

Lewis made 11-of-20 shots and grabbed eight of her rebounds on the offensive end, two less than the entire Missouri team. Brooke Lassiter added 25 points and seven assists for the Lady Techsters who will play Connecticut for the right to advance to the Final Four in St. Louis.

Louisiana Tech (31-4), which has won its first three games by a total of 58 points, led by only two points at the half but shot 54.5 percent over the final 20 minutes to pull away.

Ayana Walker added 14 points and 12 rebounds for the Lady Techsters, who have been to 13 Final Fours and won two NCAA Championships (1982, 1988).

Amanda Lassiter had 19 points for Missouri, which was playing in a regional semifinal for only the second time.

Missouri (21-10) was the lowest remaining seed in the "Sweet 16" and had knocked off Wisconsin and Georgia to reach the regional semifinals for the first time in 19 years.

Brooke Lassiter had a series of clutch plays in the final three minutes, scoring five straight points after Missouri had drawn within 64-60.

The game was tied, 36-36, 2 1/2 minutes into the second half when Brooke Lassiter sank a 3-pointer to ignite a 14-4 burst. Lassiter and Lewis had six points apiece during the run.
