SYRACUSE, New York (Ticker) -- Stephanie Gandy scored 10 of her 14 points in the first half, when 18th-ranked Michigan built a huge advantage en route to an 84-76 victory over Syracuse.

Alayne Ingram led the way with 25 points and backcourt mate Susana Jara dished out six assists for the Wolverines (3-1), who led 47-31 at the break and cruised to their third straight win.

The contest ended a four-game season-opening road trip for Michigan, which fell at No. 6 Louisiana Tech to begin the campaign but has reeled off three victories by an average of more than 14 points.

Michigan shot 62 percent (31-of-50) from the field, including 8-of-12 on 3-pointers, and held a 30-24 advantage on the boards behind five rebounds apiece by Tabitha Pool and Jennifer Smith, who contributed 10 points.

Reserve Shannon Perry netted 19 points and Jaime James added 18 for the Orangewomen (3-1), who were handed their first loss of the season in their home opener. Syracuse's three wins had come in California.

The Orangewomen shot 50 percent (31-of-62) and lost despite committing just 10 turnovers.
