SHREVEPORT, Louisiana (Ticker) -- Amber Obaze had 19 points and seven rebounds and reserve Catrina Frierson added 18 and eight as 10th-ranked Louisiana Tech snapped a three-game losing streak with a 98-44 rout of Centenary.

Obase made 7-of-13 shots from the floor and recorded five assists and six steals. She scored six points in the first five minutes as the Lady Techsters jumped out to a 12-2 lead.

Feirson, who made 9-of-20 shots, scored six straight points midway through the first half as Louisiana Tech (3-3) built a 50-13 halftime cushion. The Lady Techsters shot 55 percent (22-of-40) in the first 20 minutes while Centenary made just 5-of-23 shots.

Brooke Lassiter scored 16 points and Ayana Walker collected eight and eight rebounds for Louisiana Tech, which finished at 50 percent (38-of-76) shooting and held an overwhelming 51-26 rebounding edge.

Lassiter made 4-of-6 3-pointer for the Lady Techsters, who made 7-of-19 shots from behind the arc.

Carly Melvin scored 16 points on 6-of-11 shooting to pace the Cyclones, who shot just 31 percent (16-of-52) and committed 24 turnovers. Demetria Dorsey was the only other player in double figures for Centenary with 10 points.
