AUSTIN, Texas (Ticker) -- Alisha Sare scored 18 points and Stacy Stephens added 17 as No. 18 Texas recorded an 80-47 victory over Lamar.
Sare shot 7-of-8 from the field, including 4-of-5 from 3-point range, and did not attempt a free throw. Stephens was 6-of-10 from the floor and hit all five of her free throws to go along with 10 rebounds.
Tracy Cook added 14 points while shooting 4-of-5 from the field and 6-of-6 from the line for the Lady Longhorns (7-1), who led 43-23 at halftime.
Texas shot 45 percent (26-of-57) from the floor and scored 25 points off 20 turnovers. It hit 20 of its 25 free throws.
Eva Christian scored 10 points for the Cardinals (2-5), who were just 19-of-50 (38 percent) from the floor and were outrebounded, 39-31.
