LOUISVILLE, Kentucky (Ticker) -- Amanda Wolke scored 14 of her 25 points in the second half, when Louisville used a decisive run to hand Conference USA foe No. 23 Cincinnati its first loss of the season, 71-65. With her teammates struggling from the field, Wolke made 12-of-16 shots and had a big second half as Louisville (9-4) erased a four-point halftime deficit. Cincinnati (11-1) held Louisville to just 40 percent shooting over the first 20 minutes and led 32-28 heading into the break. The Lady Bearcats still held a 42-38 edge with 14 minutes to go but the Cardinals began to chip away and closed the game with a 7-3 burst to seal the victory. LaKisha Hoffman scored 13 points and Kim Graham added 12 points for Louisville. Other than Wolke, Hoffman and Graham, the Cardinals made just 8-of-28 shots. Tamara Douglass led Cincinnati with 14 points and K.B. Sharp chipped in 12 and eight assists. Louisville committed just eight turnovers. |
