FORT COLLINS, Colorado (Ticker) -- Becky Hammon got the best of Jackie Stiles in their battle of All-Americans.

Hammon scored 30 points and was 16-of-17 from the foul line, leading second seed Colorado State to its first ever Sweet 16 appearance with an 86-70 second-round victory over SW Missouri State in the West Region of the NCAA Women's Tournament.

Colorado State (33-2) advances to the West Region semifinals in Los Angeles, where it will face either UCLA or Kentucky on Saturday.

Stiles, the nation's second-leading scorer, finished with 28 points for the Rams and hit 14-of-18 free throws. She averaged 23 points in two NCAA Tournament games, just under three points below her season average.

It is the ninth time this season Hammon has scored at least 30 points. She is averaging 28.5 points in two postseason contests and shooting 86 percent (32-of-37) from the foul line.

Heather Haanen added 21 points, including an 11-of-12 performance from the line, helping the Rams improve to 21-0 at home. They have won 21 of their last 22 outings overall.

Colorado State built a 45-28 halftime lead thanks to a 54 percent (15-of-28) shooting from the floor and held SW Missouri State to 44 percent (10-of-23). Haanen led the Rams with 16 points.

Hammon and Haanen shot a combined 27-of-29 from the foul line and Colorado State was 38-of-48 overall. The Bears shot 10-of-29 from the charity stripe.

Roshonda Reed added 12 points for SW Missouri State (25-7), which lost for only the second time in 18 games.
