DRIVING Bird was mainly known for his shooting, but his ability to put the ball to the floor was underrated. Although there were few defenders in the league he could actually beat off the dribble, he still found ways to knife into the lane and toss up shots with either hand, create an easy opportunity for a teammate, or get fouled and go to the line.
