- NAIA Division I National Player of the Year
- NAIA Division I First Team All-America
- Led the nation in FG%
- Helped lead St. Vincent to a 28-5 record and a trip to the NAIA tournament (they lost in the quarterfinals)
- Led the Bearcats in scoring, rebounding, blocked shots and field goal percentage
- This was his only season at St. Vincent's after transferring from New Mexico
- St. Vincent's is located in Latrobe, PA - the home of Rolling Rock beer and Arnold Palmer

- Played junior college ball in 1994-95 at New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell, NM
- Played the 1995-96 and 1996-97 seasons at New Mexico
- Averaged just 3.5 ppg and 1.5 rebounds in seven minutes per game over two seasons
- Plays internationally for Puerto Rico
- Played for Puerto Rico in the 1996 Olympics, and the 1997 Men's 22 and Under World Championships in Melbourne, Australia
- Scored four points and grabbed six rebounds in 74-69 win over the USA
- Turns 22 on the day of the draft
