It's a testament to Sanchez's ability that, even though he missed eight games while nursing foot and ankle injuries and averaged fewer than six points per game, he was still chosen MVP of the Atlantic 10, because he's a true lead guard who knows how to set up his teammates. Despite missing so many games, he dished out 201 assists. Sanchez is also an excellent defender -- he made 85 steals as a senior -- and is a great rebounder. One thing he doesn't do well is shoot from the perimeter (though he made a respectable 33 percent of his 3-pointers last season). And the question remains: Can he play in the NBA without a consistent jump shot to keep defenses honest? Sanchez re-injured his ankle the night before the NBA's Phoenix tryout camp and couldn't play. That didn't help his chances to get drafted.
