Jerome Moiso
Drafted by Boston Celtics in Round 1, pick 11

Allsport
Position: Center
College: UCLA
Conference: Pac-10
Height: 6'10"
Weight: 230
Age:
Birthdate: 06/15/78
High School: Milford Academy, Milford, Conn.

*Early entry

Moiso, a native of Guadeloupe, West Indies, left after his sophomore season at UCLA along with teammate JaRon Rush. Last season, Moiso was the Bruins' top rebounder (7.6) and second-leading scorer (13.0). At 6-10 and 230 pounds, Moiso has a long, rangy body and is active. Moiso gets to a lot of rebounds and loose balls; 15 times last season, he paced UCLA in rebounding. He's effective facing the basket and has good touch from the perimeter. A good leaper, Moiso was second in the Pac-10 in blocked shots (1.67 per game). Some scouts think Moiso could have benefited from another year in college. He's been compared by some to Marcus Camby and Kevin Garnett.
