Kurtz finished up his short career at Tulsa the same way he started -- by being chosen second-team All-WAC. To do that, Kurtz averaged 11.2 points -- third on a balanced team -- and 7.0 rebounds (second). He also blocked a team-high 47 shots. Kurtz shot a strong 51 percent from the field and 67 percent from the free-throw line. Kurtz, who started his career in junior college, helped lead Tulsa to a school-record 32 victories and an appearance in the NCAA tournament's Elite Eight.
