*Early entry

Although he's played only one season of college basketball, Harvey decided to test his marketability at the next level. Some may debate whether he's ready for the NBA, and most experts probably would have advised him to stay at Florida. But few could deny that Harvey possesses a skill that will keep him around the league for a few years. He's a relentless rebounder, so good at that blue-collar task that he's been compared to recent history's foremost practitioner of the art. "He's Dennis Rodman without the yellow hair," Alabama coach Mark Gottfried said. Harvey was supposed to come in as a freshman and shore up a young Florida team's greatest weakness, and he did just that, averaging a team-high 7.0 boards without starting. His 258 boards set a Florida freshman record. He also had a team-high 36 dunks and six double-doubles as he helped lead the Gators to the NCAA tournament championship game. And just to prove he's not one-dimensional, Harvey was third on the team in scoring (10.1) despite logging only the sixth-most minutes (20.2).
