The Bonnies' all-time shot blocker (289), Cyrus thought he was getting a huge break when he was invited to the NBA's first pre-draft camp at Portsmouth, Va., in April. Unfortunately for Cyrus, he injured an ankle and was forced to miss the league's next tryout camp in Phoenix. Cyrus went to work rehabbing his ankle and will accept his invitation to the NBA's final camp, at Chicago, June 6-12. There, Cyrus will hope to show the league he's an excellent defender and a capable scorer. He was chosen third-team All-Atlantic 10 this season and made the league's all-defensive team three straight years. This season, he helped lead St. Bonaventure to a 21-10 record and its first NCAA tournament berth in 22 years.
