Dan McClintock
Drafted by Denver Nuggets in Round 2, pick 53
Position: Center
College: Northern Arizona
Conference: Big Sky
Height: 7'0"
Weight: 260
Age: 23
Birthdate: 04/19/77
High School: Golden West, Visalia, Calif.

One NBA scout called McClintock the most athletic big man available in this year's draft. Makes you wonder why McClintock didn't even have the Lumberjacks'[ starting center job until this year. McClintock had the fastest 100-yard dash time of any returning NAU player this season, which speaks well for a man who's 7-0 and 260 pounds. McClintock can do more than just move, though that's a critical skill for a post player. He knows how to score, as his Big Sky-leading .668 field-goal percentage in 1998-99 would attest. McClintock got some quality time in front of scouts by helping lead his Pacific team to the championship of the Desert Classic, the NBA's second major tryout camp. He had 12 points in the title game.
