Hanno Mottola
Drafted by Atlanta Hawks in Round 2, pick 40

Allsport
Position: Small Forward
College: Utah
Conference: Mountain West
Height: 6'10"
Weight: 240
Age: 23
Birthdate: 09/09/76
High School: Makelanrinne, Helsinki, Finland

Mottola has the skill and brains to become a decent pro, but he needs to get a little tougher, on defense and on the boards. Mottola is a polished offensive player who shot 49 percent from the field, 35 percent from 3-point range and 82 percent from the free-throw line. He averaged just 4.8 boards, a smallish number for someone with his size and savvy. Mottola averaged 17 points for the Utes while being limited to 21 games because of injury. He was chosen first-team All-Mountain West and a third-team Academic All-American.
