Blackwell can play either forward spot, but he doesn't shoot with all that much range. He's effective up to about 15 feet. He has other skills and is unselfish; he passed for 99 assists as as senior. He also averaged 10.8 points and 7.2 rebounds and made 44 steals. Blackwell was a third-team All-Big East pick and was invited to the NBA's final tryout camp in Chicago. Blackwell played his freshman season at Illinois, but after transferring to Syracuse in his native New York, he started all 100 of the games he played.
