Hale was definitely one of the hard-luck stories of the NBA's three pre-draft camps. Considering that he broke a finger on his right hand just three minutes into the first game at the Portsmouth Invitational, he might be the hard luck story. The injury prevented him from showcasing his wares at Portsmouth and at the NBA's second camp at Phoenix. Hale had been projected by some as a first-round draft pick after his solid senior season at FSU, during which he led the Seminoles in scoring (15.6) and was second in rebounding (4.8). Hale has a good all-around game. He'd better hope NBA scouts still have plenty of film on him.
