PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Allen Iverson was placed back on the 76ers' playoff roster Thursday and is expected to play in Saturday's playoff opener against the Charlotte Hornets.

All team rosters must be reduced to 12 players for the playoffs. Iverson, the team's leading scorer, was placed on the injured list for Wednesday's regular-season finale against the Chicago Bulls with an inflamed right elbow and a broken left toe. Center Nazr Mohammed took his place in the 12-player list. The revised roster announced Thursday has Iverson back on the list and Mohammed off.

Iverson has appeared in 70 games, averaging 28.4 points, 4.7 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 2.06 steals in 40.8 minutes of action. Philadelphia is 8-13 lifetime in games when Iverson does not play.

This week was the second time Iverson has been on the injured list this year. He missed 10 games from Nov. 24 to Dec. 11 with a broken right thumb.

The other players on the revised roster are: guard Kevin Ollie, forward Toni Kukoc, guard Aaron McKie, forward George Lynch, guard Ira Bowman, guard Eric Snow, forward Jumaine Jones, forward Tyrone Hill, center Theo Ratliff, center Todd MacCulloch and center Matt Geiger.

Saturday's opening game, and the second game, to be played Monday, are both in Charlotte. The Sixers return home for the third game, which is set for April 28.
