Gerald Wallace
Drafted by Sacramento Kings in Round 1, pick 25

Al Bello/Allsport
Position: Small Forward
College: Alabama
Conference: SEC
Height: 6'7
Weight: 210
Age: 18
Birthdate: 7/23/82
High School: Childersburg (AL)

*Early entry

Wallace was the most decorated player in the 2000 freshman class, and he started his career at Alabama in dominant fashion. Then the Crimson Tide got to the SEC portion of their schedule, and Wallace struggled. Though he's a great leaper, can run and is an exciting, acrobatic finisher, Wallace could have benefited from another year or two in school. He has no perimeter game, as his shooting percentages from the field (43), three-point range (17) and the free-throw line (56) would suggest. He could also stand to bulk up.
