PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Eric Snow returned to Philadelphia's starting lineup for Game 5 of the NBA Finals against the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday night.

Snow, playing with two fractures in his right ankle, was benched in favor of Aaron McKie during the second round of the playoffs against Toronto.

McKie moved from point guard to small forward in place of Jumaine Jones for the 76ers, down 3-1 in the finals.

"Eric is running better," Sixers coach Larry Brown said before the game. "He was a big part of our team from the outset. So I thought it would be better for him and take a bit of pressure off Jumaine."

Snow, who missed 32 games after fracturing his right ankle earlier this season, fractured it in a different spot when he stepped on Sam Cassell's foot during Game 4 of the Eastern conference finals against Milwaukee.

But he played in Game 5 and scored 18 points to lead the Sixers to a crucial victory.
