BIO: Declared for the 2004 draft, but withdrew when he wasn't guaranteed to be a top 10 pick. One of the top centers in the draft, but his large buyout with Partizan could affect his draft status. Plays with passion, intelligence and has more experience than most 20-year-olds, having played for Partizan in Serbia and the Serbian national team. Good shooter, but isn't a finesse player. Attacks the basket and isn't afraid to challenge players driving into the paint. Nice outside shooting touch, and has developed a hook shot. Lacks the bulk needed to play in the post, but has the frame to add muscle. Not a great rebounder and shot-blocker. Lacks back-to-the-basket moves, and has trouble passing out of the post. Often does not follow through on his first attempt to the basket, missing opportunities for offensive rebounds. Average man-to-man defender, but covers the week side well. Doesn't have great leaping ability. Expected to be selected in the late first round or early second.
