• Players who change positions when they enter the NBA either wilt at the challenge or use some of the skills that were so key in their old positions to bring versatility to their new ones. Rob Mahoney, writing at The New York Times‘ Off the Dribble blog, says Mavericks rookie Jae Crowder looks like the latter sort of player.
