Biography: Hamilton declared for the NBA draft two years after transferring from Iowa State to LSU. After averaging just 6.4 points while
starting 31 games in his sophomore season with the Cyclones, Hamilton started 32 of 33 games for LSU this past season and
averaged career highs of 12.9 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.3 blocks en route to a second-team All-SEC selection. Hamilton, who
could be selected late in the second round, is a mobile big man and has the size to play the center position at the next level.
He also possesses the ability to shoot that few others his size have, shown by a career field-goal percentage of 53.5 and
a free-throw percentage of 78.1 in his only year at LSU. Possessing solid mechanics and a soft touch on his jump shots, Hamilton
also runs the floor well. While he has the frame to be a productive center, he may need to add strength and become more of
an explosive player in order to truly compete in the NBA.
