Biography: Lamb is one of national champion Kentucky's underclassmen starters who all declared for the draft. He was second on the Wildcats with 13.9 points per game this season as a sophomore. Lamb led all scorers in the title game against Kansas with 22 points, topping the career 1,000-point plateau in that contest. It capped an NCAA tournament in which Lamb averaged 16.5 points on 55.2 percent shooting to lead the Wildcats. A noted 3-point shooter, his 47.5 percent career mark is the best in school history. He led the SEC in 3-point shooting at 48.6 percent as a freshman and was second in the conference at 46.6 percent as a sophomore. The Queens native, who came to Kentucky after spending two years at Oak Hill Academy, joined teammate Terrence Jones in becoming the only freshman duo in school history to debut with 20-point performances. There are numerous concerns about Lamb at the next level. His lack of height somewhat negates his shooting ability since it is not clear if he will be able to consistently get his shot off in the NBA. That's a problem since Lamb projects solely as a shooting guard; it is difficult to envision him playing another position especially since he is not a noted defender. All of Kentucky's starters could be drafted in the first round, but Lamb figures to be the last of that bunch.
