Ask Heat coach Pat Riley at the right time what he thinks
about 76ers forward Derrick Coleman and he'll tell you,
"His greatness could really shine." Riley will
also tell you he hasn't talked to the Sixers about trading
for Coleman since June because Philadelphia's proposal was
not "palatable." Sources say Riley may reopen the
talks. Last time a deal was discussed, the Sixers wanted
P.J. Brown; Miami would prefer to give up Jamal Mashburn, but Philly can buy Coleman out after this season,
and taking on Mashburn would mean another three years of
salary averaging almost $4.5 million a season against the
cap.
