It was big news south of the border when Horacio Llamas, the Suns' 6'11" backup center, debuted last March 2 in a game against Dallas. With that four-minute stint, the 24-year-old from El Rosario in the state of Sinaloa became the first Mexican native to play in the NBA. Phoenix is well stocked inside, so Llamas, who wound up appearing in 20 games last season, will find himself seated for long stretches, but any playing time will serve him well. "He's got a lot to learn," says coach Danny Ainge, "but I see him as a player with a good upside."
