Michael Jordan was beaten out by
Utah's Karl Malone for league MVP in 1997, but MJ got the
last laugh, earning Finals MVP after torching the Jazz for
32 points per game. Jordan staged a stunning 38-point
performance in Game 5, which
he played while exhausted from the effects of a stomach
virus.
