1955: NATIONALS OVER PISTONS 4-3
Finals MVP: None selected until 1969

A year after losing the title in seven games to the Minneapolis Lakers, the Nationals, who would move from Syracuse to Philadelphia in 1963 and become the 76ers, won all four home games (the series was played in a 2-3-2 format) against the Pistons to take the championship.

Syracuse Nationals outscored Ft. Wayne Pistons 109-104 to even National Basketball Association play-off series, chalked up thrilling 92-91 victory on George King's successful foul shot with 12 seconds to play in seventh game in Syracuse, N.Y., to take league championship.
