Rival teams might as well give it up now. Nothing they say in their little meetings will be able to top Betty White.
The former Golden Girl and her fellow “Hot In Cleveland” stars — Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves and Wendie Malick — taped a message for the King, pleading with him to stay in Cleveland. Malick said last month she wanted LeBron to guest-star on the show, but she and the rest of the gang took it a step further with this. OnTheRedCarpet.com got the script:
Bertinelli: Hi, LeBron. Now that we’re Clevelanders, we wanted to join in the effort to get you to stay.
Malick: I’ve heard of him. He’s an athlete, right?
White: He plays for The Cavaliers.
Leeves: Isn’t a Cavalier like a French cowboy?
Malick: That makes sense, because LeBron is a French name. I bet it’s hockey.
Leeves: It’s also a very elegant name. Maybe he’s a figure skater.
Bertinelli: Look at us, it’s like a sports bar in here.
White: What’s wrong with you girls? He’s the best basketball player on the planet.
Bertinelli: LeBron, please stay.
White: I’ll make it worth your while ….
Helllllooooo! Now even I want to go to Cleveland. [OnTheRedCarpet.com]
