LeBron has acknowledged that he's truly a King.

It’s official. LeBron confirmed via Twitter (@KINGJAMES) that he will announce his decision during an hour-long special on ESPN on Thursday at 9 p.m. ET. As his new website declares:

“Due to the unprecedented attention and interest surrounding LeBron’s decision, we have decided to make this announcement on national television. By doing so we have generated funds that will be given to the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. LeBron has a longstanding commitment to giving back to the community, and has worked with the Boys and Girls Clubs in cities across the country. And according to a release ESPN sent out to media Wednesday morning, Nike and Sprite are also making contributions in support of “this charitable initiative.” LeBron’s marketing team, LRMR Marketing, were responsible for securing the sponsors for this “unique event.”

ESPN’s Stuart Scott will host “The Decision,” and will be joined by ESPN NBA analysts Michael Wilbon and Jon Barry.  Freelance reporter Jim Gray will conduct the first interview with James in which he announces his decision.  Wilbon will also have an extensive interview with James.

So LeBron, who casually refers to himself as “The Real King James,” has acknowledged the “unprecedented attention and interest surrounding” himself and “The Decision” and wants to take all the credit for this “charitable initiative”

The humility is just astounding.
