Suns sign Don MacLean to 10-day contract

PHOENIX (AP) -- The Phoenix Suns signed forward Don MacLean to a 10-day contract Monday and placed Tom Gugliotta on injured reserve.

MacLean, a seven-year NBA veteran, has played for Washington, Denver, Philadelphia, New Jersey and Seattle, with career per-game averages of 11.6 points, 4.0 rebounds and 21.9 minutes.

He was released by Houston at the end of the preseason.

Gugliotta will miss the rest of the season after tearing knee ligaments in a game Friday.
