Chris Webber, F
Met with Pistons president Joe Dumars for two hours Friday. Says he plans to speak this week with Pacers head coach Isiah Thomas this week and then might take a week-long vacation in Jamaica to think it over. As the Spurs are set to re-sign David Robinson, they're likely out of the running. The Kings have said they'll offer Webber the maximum seven-year, $120 million deal.

Antonio Davis, F/C
Agreed to a five-year, $60 million deal to remain with the Raptors. Davis had been courted by the Magic, Bulls and Sixers, among others. At one point he appeared to be leaning toward Orlando, where he owns a home, but the Magic were unable to clear enough room under the salary cap to offer more than the $4.5 million midlevel exception.

Allan Houston, G
Has reached an agreement on a six-year $92.2 million contract, to be signed July 18. If so, he would not be eligible to be traded until Dec. 15, all but ruling out the Knicks being able to acquire Webber. Houston has made it clear he wants to stay in New York, and apparently he'll get his wish.

Marc Jackson, C
Visited Orlando last Monday and plans to visit Detroit and Toronto next week. Has also spoken with Seattle reps, who phoned him right away on July 1 to express their interest. The Sonics could have an edge since they have cap room and the added benefit of newly hired assistant coach Dean Demopoulos, who worked with Jackson at Temple.

Hakeem Olajuwon, C
He's waiting to see what happens in Webber sweepstakes, but the Rockets remain his first choice. Houston head coach Rudy Tomjanovich called him at 12:01 a.m. on July 1, reportedly waking up his household, but the Dream was out of the country. He is said to be seeking a contract worth about $10 million per year; the Rockets will offer much less. If they can't agree, the Suns, Magic or Heat are said to be interested.

Patrick Ewing, C
Reportedly, Ewing has tentatively agreed to sign with the Magic. The deal would require a serious pay cut from the $14 million he earned in Seattle last season.

Like Olajuwon, says he wants to stay in Houston but must wait out the Webber situation. His case could be tricky, however, since he wants more than the $4.5 million midlevel exception and the Rockets might not be willing to pay big money for both him and the Dream. The Jazz have contacted his reps, but the Bulls and Sonics appear more likely targets if the Rockets don't work out.

Eddie Robinson, F
Robinson reached agreement on a five-year $32 million contract with the Bulls. Chicago made Robinson an obvious priority, as GM Jerry Krause and head coach Tim Floyd wined and dined the free-agent forward, and he sat in owner Jerry Reinsdorf's box for a recent White Sox game.

Isaiah Rider, G
Appears headed back to the Lakers, especially given the uncertain status of Ron Harper and Derek Fisher, but it's still early. After agreeing to play for L.A.'s Summer League team, which began July 7, Rider failed to appear because of "personal business." He also could be affected by the Lakers' pursuit of Mitch Richmond. No other teams seem interested at this point, though Heat head coach Pat Riley might be willing to take another look at some point.
