ATLANTA (CNNSI.com) -- The Sacramento Kings may soon have some good news for their fans.

According to a newspaper report, the Kings and All-Star forward Chris Webber are hammering out the terms of a seven-year deal.

Fallasha Erwin, Webber's longtime agent and current consultant, told the Sacramento Bee Friday night that while a few details must be ironed out before a contract can be signed, the two sides may have something to announce very shortly.

Webber is eligible to re-sign with the Kings for more than $120 million over seven years. Only a handful of teams could offer him anything close to that amount, and at least two of them -- the Houston Rockets and Chicago Bulls -- appear to be out of the running.

The Detroit Pistons, Indiana Pacers, Miami Heat and New York Knicks also were known to be interested in acquiring Webber, although the Pistons are the only team that could sign him to a lucrative contract without having to work out a sign-and-trade deal with the Kings.

Webber has said he has been contacted by "12 to 15 teams," including the Kings.
