NEW YORK (AP) -- Michael Jordan's home opener for the Washington Wizards on Nov. 3 against Allen Iverson and the Philadelphia 76ers will be televised on NBC.

NBC Sports also announced Sunday that the Wizards' home game Dec. 1 against the Orlando Magic -- also on a Saturday night -- will be added to the network schedule. Both games begin at 6:30 p.m. EST.

NBC originally planned the begin its NBA television schedule with a Christmas doubleheader.

"It will be great fun to watch Michael Jordan, the greatest player of all time, matched up against the new generation of NBA stars, starting with Allen Iverson on Nov. 3 and Tracy McGrady on Dec. 1," NBC Sports chairman Dick Ebersol said.

The Wizards open the season Oct. 30 in New York against the Knicks. Turner Sports is expected to televise the game nationally on cable, although no announcement has been made yet.
