OAKLAND, California (Ticker) -- The Atlanta Hawks attempt to win three straight contests for just the second time this season when they continue their season-high six-game road trip at Golden State on Sunday. Atlanta has won two games in a row and four of five, its best five-game stretch this season. The Hawks' longest winning streak this campaign is three games, set from December 8-15. The Hawks began their road trip last Friday with a 93-90 victory over the Shaquille O'Neal-less Los Angeles Lakers. Shareef Abdur-Rahim had 32 points, seven rebounds and six assists and helped Atlanta outscore Los Angeles in the paint, 48-28. Golden State has lost six of its last seven contests, including a 108-99 setback to San Antonio on Friday. Rookie Jason Richardson, the Slam Dunk champion, scored a season-high 28 points and Antawn Jamison added 26 in the loss. This caps a five-game homestand for the Warriors, who are 1-3. Atlanta has won two straight over Golden State, but this is their first meeting this season. |
